Octal To Decimal Conversion

An octal number system is a base 8 number system. It means that an octal number can be formed by using any of the 0-7 digits (8 base elements). On the other hand, the decimal number system has base 10. It means that a decimal number can be formed by using any of the 0-9 digits (10 base elements).

To convert an octal number into decimal number you need to multiply each digit of octal by powers of 8 starting from 0 and sum it up finally.
